[22.11.2023] Laureates of the 7th Camera Jagellonica competition have been selected

The seventh edition of the Camera Jagellonica competition is now behind us - on 22 November this year, we met at the opening and official announcement of the results to honour this year's winners.

The competition jury composed of: Anna Wojnar (photojournalist at Jagiellonian University and the ‘Alma Mater’ monthly magazine), Professor Małgorzata Radkiewicz (film scholar, works at Jagiellonian University Institute of Audiovisual Arts, board member of the Museum of Photography in Krakow), Wojciech Matusik (photographer and photo editor of ‘Dziennik Polski’ and ‘Gazeta Krakowska’ newspapers), Tomasz Markowski (sports photography specialist, for years associated with the daily newspaper ‘Przegląd Sportowy’ ) awarded the authors of works in four categories. In addition to the ‘Architecture’, ‘Student Life’ and ‘Impressions’ categories, which are well known to participants of our competition, this year all participants had also the opportunity to submit works in the ‘Year of Wisława Szymborska’ category, which was intended to encourage an attempt at interpreting the poems of the celebrated poet and to look at her legacy from the photographic perspective.
